Biggest Loser Couples Or Not?
Hi Everyone!
Sorry I missed the premiere of the newest season of Biggest Loser. This blog gives a quick recap of last week’s show. BTW, the cruise was awesome!
The Biggest Loser Couples started out with 11 couples. There were cousins, a married couple, an engaged couple, parent and child couples, and of course best friend couples. The couples are sent to the gym to work out on their own, prior to meeting the trainers. Jerry (the old guy) gets sick and passes out. He ends up at the hospital. His blood pressure dropped when he started exercising causing him to faint. Not a good sign for his health condition, huh?
To divide the teams up, Jillian and Bob picked one team each. After that each team picked got to pick the next team. The 11th team was able to decide if they wanted to go with Jillian or Bob. They chose Bob (Surprise! Surprise!)
The first challenge takes place on a bridge. To cross the bridge, the contestants have to climb up 250,000 pounds of sand. Both team members must reach their color flag and then return to the start together to finish. The top five teams compete in a second heat. There are three heats. The final heat is between the Yellow team and the Black team. The team who wins gets immunity. The black team beats the yellow by a speck.
In a twist, Allison announces that the only safe couples are the Black team (Dane & Blaine) because they have immunity and the couple who loses the most weight. All other couples must choose one person to go home…sending nine players home. The Silver team lost 24 pounds combined. The Orange team lost 46 pounds combined. The red team lost 35 pounds combined. The white team lost 34 pounds combined. The blue team lost 40 pounds combined. The yellow team lost 25 pounds combined. The purple team lost 31 pounds combined. The pink team lost 25 pounds combined. The green team lost 34 pounds. The brown team lost 54 pounds combined. With the percentages taken into consideration, the brown team wins the weigh off and both of them get to stay in the game.
Each couple must decide who stays and who goes home. At the end of 30 days, if your teammate is still on the show, the partner gets to come back on. I don’t agree with this at all. Why call the show Biggest Loser Couples when there are actually no couples? I guess we’ll see where they are going with this soon enough.
I’ll be back later on tonight with this week’s episode recap. Stay tuned….Bloggergal1
